Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with department/branch managers to identify their needs and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions for Senior HR Manager’s review.
- Assist with job posting and advertisement processes and track flow in the applicant-tracking system and ensure a timely response.
- Screen applications both directly from applicants and from agencies.
- Perform customer service function by answering requests and questions from both applicants and hiring managers.
- Prepare new hire packets and completes onboarding process for new hires including applicable online training.
- Assist with employee relations issues: conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations, create interview notes and report, collect supporting documents/evidence, ensure timely and complete record-keeping (log, excel sheet, files).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese is preferred. Other languages (Spanish, Chinese, Korean) are a plus..
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant fields of HR, 5+ years of progressive experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the applicant tracking system.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
