Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision within the department and oversees all the operations on a continuous basis including checking.
work activities and schedules. - Reviews daily work schedules to plan out work and personnel assignments.
- Schedules and conducts employee meetings to keep department members informed and up to date.
- Prepare quotations according to customers’ requests, making sure such quotations are competitive and reasonably profitable at the same time through negotiations with subcontractors etc.
- Negotiate with subcontractors such as warehousing, trucking and shipping companies etc. entering into contracts on conditions reasonable and acceptable for our business model with approval from the management team.
- Seek constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
- Assists the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, terminations and other human resources-related actions; prepares and coordinates documentation.
Direct daily shipment arrangement, making sure such arrangement and control is done timely and correctly.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native Level is a must.
- Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing processes.
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in Logistics, 3-5 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Ability to excel in working in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective planning and decision-making ability.
