Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure that manufactured products are produced in compliance with company specifications, policies and government regulations
- Participate in product evaluation to ensure stringent quality controls are met.v
- Implement corrective actions as needed to increase organizational consistency and ensure issues are rectified in a timely manner.
- Analyze, evaluate & make recommendations on product quality through oral & written reports.
- Manage regulatory and/or 3rd party food safety audits and all related programs.
- Lead, development and coach the QA including direct reports.
- Work directly with cross functional team members to insure qualification of new equipment, processes and new products
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese is a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Biological Science field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years QA experience in the food industry at management level.
- Ability to lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver, and reposition 30 lbs infrequently.
- Ability to work long hours and able to work overtime when required, as per the business needs.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and creativity for developing innovative solutions and applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams, internally and externally.
